LANNING COMMUNICATIONS CREATES WEBSITE FOR UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST LEGISLATIVE MINISTRY OF FL
WESLEY CHAPEL, FL, February 2, 2009 -- Lanning Communications has completed designing a 30-page, highly interactive website for the Unitarian Universalist Legislative Ministry of Florida (UULMF). The site went live today at: www.uulmf.org.
UULMF is an affiliate organization of the nonprofit Florida District of the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) which has worldwide headquarters in Boston, MA. UULMF represents 46 UU congregations throughout Florida, advocating for Unitarian Universalist principles in legislative matters, with an emphasis during 2009 on homelessness and climate change.
"The Ministry's seven-member Steering Committee wanted a site that would explain UULMF's mission, serve as a gateway to information about state and federal legislative affairs, and give visitors ample opportunity to get involved as volunteers and financial donors with the Ministry's ongoing work and special projects," said Terry Lanning, president of Lanning Communications.
Lanning said his agency photographed and interviewed Steering Committee members, designed the site "look and feel" after UULMF chose from three options, created all content for the site, and finally populated the pages with the assembled content and published the site to the WorldWideWeb.
"We've given them a website they can be proud of and will work hard for them," Lanning noted. "The proof will come when growing numbers of Unitarian Universalists become active and get more involved in what's going on in Florida's and our nation's capitals."
The first big opportunity will be Legislative Day in Tallahassee March 24th and 25th, 2009, sponsored by UULMF and the Florida Coalition for the Homeless. "Anyone wanting details or who's interested in signing up should go to UULMF's new website," Lanning concluded. "Where else?"
